Item Description
6.25" tall with long vertical stick pin on the reverse and name of maker W&H. Ribbon is fragile but largely intact. There is a small fabric break on the upper edge and a .5" stress area between the words "Republican" and "Worker" and the corner of the separate flag ribbon curls slightly upward. Attached at the center is a 1.25" celluloid button, the same as our previous item, this has about a half dozen 1/8" hairline crazes in the celluloid although they barely show in reflected light. The suspended 1.75" celluloid has more extensive crazing but still displays clean and glossy as there is no stain. This shows an eagle with quill pen and early ballot box surrounded by text "Republican Emblem/Greater New York." One of the very few items to include a reference to TR's running mate for Lieut. Governor Timothy Woodruff. Rare.
