c.mid-1930s. 11.5x11.5”wood frame without mat has Plexiglas revealing 8x8.5” art board w/6.75x7.25” India ink image area. Wonderful action image has Popeye punching a villain w/a loud “Bop” and saying “Ahoy, Charles, If Ya Got Any Emenies Jus’ Lemme Know !”. Bottom has bold ink inscription “Bes’ Wishes To Me Fren Outcault From Popeye And Segar “ w/art of cigar saying “Yours To The Last Ash”. NM. The nicest Popeye specialty art by his creator we’ve ever seen. Ready for display.
