Item Description
First is 1.75" featuring a 1928 real photo used in his Governor campaign. Some air at the lower right catches reflected light but totally clean and glossy. Hake #2046. Next is newspaper issued pocket mirror. This reads "Franklin Delano Roosevelt/Daily & Sunday Times." 2-1/8x3-1/8" slightly glossy paper with mirror on the underside. Couple of small color rubs on the oval at far left but very clean and unlisted in Hake. Next is "Roosevelt" rare version of a common litho button. This 1" celluloid has curl text "G.H. Stamp Works, Aberdeen, Wash." Hake #312. NM displaying Mint. Last is a great Roosevelt-Dewey cartoon beer ad button from 1944. 1-1/8" litho unlisted in Hake. Issued for "Gunther's Premium Dry Beer." Holding a banner reading "The People's Choice...For Any Party" are a cartoon elephant with Dewey-style mustache perched on his trunk and a cartoon donkey with FDR-style toothy smile, glasses and a cigarette in a long holder. Four tiny paint chips under 1/16" are barely visible. Extremely Fine and a scarce two-candidate cartoon button. An outstanding group.
