The 1.25" version of this is Hake #128 with a 2004 guide value of $3,000.00. This 2-1/8" size is unlisted in Hake and the only reference is a result from Heritage in 2011 of $4,481.25. This piece has highly lustrous silvered tin reverse and a narrow metal collet indicative of the maker Parisian Novelty of Chicago. On the front a union bug appears beneath their oval photos but it does not designate a specific company in Chicago. Exceedingly light and typical but minimal surface wear showing barely in reflected light. A true NM example that displays Mint and glossy with perfect centering. A superb example of a rare button.
