Item Description
Lot of four boxed toys, produced in Japan in the 1950s-1960s. First is "Hippity-Hoppity" squirrel toy by Bandai which measures 6.5" long and consists of two tin litho squirrels, attached by pull cord, which when pulled causes toy to jump forward. Box has some lt. wear w/tiny puncture on lid. VF. Toy has some scattered lt. wear and is VF overall. "Mechanical Donkey Boy" was produced by Haji and measures 3.5" long. Tin litho toy shows boy seated on donkey and has built-in key on underside. Original rubber whip and tail present. Exc. Box shows lt. wear and is VF/Exc. "Comical Clock Dancer" was produced by Modern Toys and stands 4.5" tall. Tin litho face w/google eyes (though pupils seem to be stuck) waddles back and forth when wound by built-in key in back. Box shows lt. wear w/1/8" puncture to lid. VF. Toy has scattered lt. wear. VF. Scarcer 1960s wind-up. "Mechanical Hippopotamus" was produced by Yanoman and measures 5.75" long. Tin litho w/attached wire that suspends celluloid butterfly in front of hippo's mouth. Twirling original rubber tail spins and mouth opens and closes when built-in key is wound. Box and toy are Exc. All toys work.
