Item Description
Pair of 7.5x8" softcover books w/84 pages each. Published by David McKay Publications. ©1934 King Features Syndicate, Inc. Each features stories written by noted detective author Dashiell Hamett, author of such stories as "The Maltese Falcon, The Thin Man, Red Harvest." Both feature reprints of the "Secret Agent X-9" newspaper comic strip that featured art by "Flash Gordon" artist Alex Raymond. Cover of Book 1 has lt. traces of handling/corner tip wear w/even lt. aging. Tiny pinhole through entire book at top right corner is only noticeable upon close inspection. Cover has a Fine appearance. Pages remain clean and bright. VF/NM. Choice condition for this book. Book 2 cover shows lt. trace of aging/handling wear, most at corners. Fine. Pages are bright, clean and VF/NM. Both books have had a thin laminate added to covers long ago. Scarce. From the Rogers M. Fred, Jr. BLB & Related Collection.
