Item Description
Original illustrated cardboard box contains pair of 6.75" long leather sandals w/"Gene Autry" facsimile signature and image of him on rearing Champion. Heels have die-cut leather "spurs." Underside of one leatherette sole has repeat incised Gene Autry name/image. 1940s. Box shows moderate wear w/tape repairs to two lid corners and color rubs along edges w/color touch-ups to corner creases. VG. Sandals come w/original packing paper and are unused and Exc. We have had children's leather boots and rubber rain boots but this is the first example of this interesting oddball sandal design we have seen.
