Item Description
The E78 set of Prize Fighters looks very much like the sets issued by the American Caramel Company but there is no sponsor information on the backs. The cards measure approximately 1.5x 2.75" and have a color artist's rendering on the front. The card backs were printed in black and feature a roster of boxers who are included in the set. This card is number #23 of 25 in the set. Oscar Mathaeus Nielsen, also known as "Battling Nelson", (June 5, 1882-February 7, 1954) was a Danish boxer who held the world lightweight championship on two separate occasions. He was nicknamed "The Durable Dane".
