Item Description
9.75x13.75" thin cardboard sign for Chaplin's 1921 silent film that co-starred Jackie Coogan (later of "The Addams Family" fame as Uncle Fester). The film was released on Jan. 21, 1921. This sign dates to April 5, 1922 showing at the Crawford Theater (renamed "The Rialto" in the 1930s) in Canton, PA and features nice portraits of Chaplin and "The Kid." Text at top reads "Do You Know 'The Kid'." Sign was printed by The Rolison Press of Canton, PA. as noted by small text at bottom left. 1.25" archival tape reapir to back of top left corner. Sign has some moderate but even aging w/pinholes at margins. If matted and framed, would make for a nice display. Rare.
