Auction #210 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1270 in auction 210
Item Description
2.25" with metal back and bar pin. Unlisted in Hake. Below the slogan and his photo is text "Souvenir Pin Of Gov. Orville L. Freeman Appreciation Dinner Dec. 10, 1955." Freeman was a founder of the Minnesota Democratic-Labor-Farmer Party and Truman appeared at this dinner to honor him in 1955. There is a .25" dia. air mark to the right of his hair. There is one a little smaller on the lower right edge of his jacket and on the left background between the text and his photo there is a 1/16" wide somewhat wiggly line about 1" long. The first two air marks show under most viewing circumstances while the line shows just in reflected light. However there is no stain and the button has full gloss and perfect centering. Very close to Mint as made and a very limited issue. Julie Powell Collection.
