Item Description
Pair of vintage pin-up calendars by legendary artist Rolf Armstrong. First measures 16x33.5" and has 11x15.5" image area showcasing Armstrong's "Let's Be Friends" pin-up and complete 1940 calendar pad. Metal strips at top and bottom margins. Calendar has been rolled and shows moderate wear, w/scattered creases and tiny margin tears. Calendar pad has some .25" tears and slight staple rusting but is complete. VG overall. Comes w/11x23" calendar w/complete 1962 calendar pad and "She's Tops" pin-up image. Calendar has Dayton, OH Darling Displays Distributor imprint as well as 4.25x6" card at top left welcoming back the "Armstrong Girl" after an absence of three years and commenting on the popularity of Armstrong pin-up calendars in the 1950s. Metal strips at top and bottom margins. Calendar has been rolled and shows some scattered wear, w/a few spots of moisture staining and 1" area of moisture staining to lower right corner. Calendar pad has some lt. wear but is complete. Fine.
