Item Description
These are all from the Marshall Levin Collection. All are 1.25" except the third in row four at 1.5". Quite a few of these are political group issues while some are issues of c.1970 underground stores. A number of these have Levin notations as to their origin or date on the reverse and we will do them in order. In row one first has paper in back reading "Anarchist Button Texas, 1969." Item two includes initials on the front "SRAF." Items three and four are from the Underground Uplift Unlimited store in Greenwich Village. Items four and five are different type face and the fifth does not have the store initials. In row two the first item has the capital letters U.U.U. on the curl and the second item is a type variety of the first but without the initials. Third item reads on curl "Left Bank Books, Seattle." Fourth item has U.U.U. designation while fifth item has a union bug. In row three Levin marked the first on the back "'79" on the second his note is "1983" and curl reads Left Bank Books. Next three do not have any special markings. In row four first and second items have his notations in order "June 1971" and "July 1971." Next two have no particular notations while the last item has U.U.U. on the curl. Some of these have minor oxidation on the reverse collet but it has not stained the celluloids.
