Item Description
First two items carry the initials "F.U. Of A." standing for Fraternal Union of America. On the early 9" tall ribbon badge from Anaconda, Mont. there is a 1.75" celluloid showing four human figures in gowns and graduation style hats each holding an oval reading in sequence "Love/Justice/Truth/Mercy." Sunburst above reads "Fraternity." This same image and text is on the medallion suspended from the second item. The second item carries the name Denver, Colo. Both pieces have black and silver reverse ribbons for use at member funerals. This was a fraternal insurance benefit society. Next three items are labor union related. The first of these carries 1953 convention date and from the "Building And Const'n Trades Dept. A.F. Of L." Top has silvered and enameled hanger and suspension. Next from 1956 is silvered with blue enamel for convention of "United Association Of Journeymen And Apprentices Of The Plumbing And Pipe Fitting Industries Of The United States And Canada." Third item, all brass, is 3" tall and from a convention in 1956. Location was Kansas City, Mo. and center bar reads "Delegate" with initials "AFL-CIO" on both the top and bottom pieces. Lot also includes the original envelope for the first item in this group. All are VF to Mint.
