Item Description
1.25" with W&H paper. Pictured is Charles K. Hamilton plus his bi-plane surrounded by the text "Above Them All/Hamilton And The Hartford Courant Cigar." On June 13, 1910 Hamilton made the first round trip airplane flight between New York City and Philadelphia, considered astounding at the time. Along his route factory whistles and fire bells were sounded along with shouts from thousands of spectators as he passed overhead. A special train on the Pennsylvania Railroad even followed his progress. Hake book Collectible Pin-Back Buttons photo example Aviation #583. Comes with Hake's COA. Only example we've seen in five decades. NM displaying Mint.
