1.75" photo button of first Black player accepted into American League play in 1947 by Cleveland Indians. Doby followed Jackie Robinson of Brooklyn Dodgers of National League. Doby's playing career was 13 years, mostly in Cleveland. Pin-back is earliest issue for him. Light stain on the ribbons. Includes celluloid bat and ball charms. Cello is Exc. and displays Mint.
