Item Description
5.5x7.25x7.25" tall nicely-designed high quality lacquered wood radio made by Emerson in the 1930s. On the front at each corner are attached aluminum pieces w/character images of Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow. At bottom center is triangular attachment that reads "Emerson Radio And Television - ©Walt Disney." Also has nice die-cut aluminum grille plate depicting Mickey Mouse playing bass and behind this is the original fabric speaker cover. Radio has original cord/plug, antenna wire and knobs (which are free of chips), tubes light and radio hums, but no longer plays. Back panel has additional "Emerson" metal plate w/serial number. All aluminum accent pieces are complete and distinct. Painted silver accent band on front shows some paint wear but this example is about as nice as they come for an unrestored radio. VF/Exc. condition for this classic Mickey Mouse item. From the Maurice Sendak Collection and comes with COA.
