Each is 11.25x16” w/16 pages including engravings on front covers, centerfolds, and four other pages w/cartoons on back covers. 1863 dates are: Aug. 15, Oct. 24, Nov. 7, Dec. 19. 1864 dates are: Feb. 20, Feb. 27, April 9, May 14, Aug. 27, Sept. 3, Sept. 10, Dec. 17. Images include: Morgan’s Ohio raid, Maryland campaign, Burnside reception in Knoxville, Miss Columbia weeping over casket, Bristoe Station battle, drummer boy Missionary Ridge battle, Grant crossing Cumberland mountains, Grant and Sherman campaign battles, Farragut’s fleet, Sherman centerfold. One back cover has Lincoln cartoon. A few issues have art by Thomas Nast. Issues were removed from bound volumes and have some spine edge wear inc. small edge tear, but issues are complete w/Fine/VF image areas. An instant collection reporting history as it was being made.
