Each is 11.25x16” w/16 pages including engravings on front covers, centerfolds, and four other pages w/cartoons on back covers. Dates are: Feb. 14, March 11, April 4, April 11, April 18, May 16, June 27, July 4, Oct. 10, Oct. 17, Oct. 31, Nov. 28. Images include: Rappahannock march, paroled rebel prisoners leaving New Orleans, night scout in Southwest, Mississippi River map, troops in Dixie, Port Hudson bombardment, Vicksburg fighting, spies being hung, eastern Va. Railroad map. Two issues have back cover Lincoln cartoon. A few issues have art by Thomas Nast. Issues were removed from bound volumes and have some spine edge wear inc. small edge tear, but issues are complete w/Fine/VF image areas. An instant collection reporting history as it was being made.
