8.5x11.5” cardboard mailer has illustrated label from “Street & Smith Publications NY” w/cowboy at left. Text includes “A Series of Cover Pictures Made for Street & Smith’s Western Story Magazine”. Label is postmarked, addressed to recipient in Ohio. Contains six page paper folder inc. info on illustrator and former Howard Pyle student Gayle Hoskins and title and description of prints based on an “Adventurous Day in the Life of Slim”. Each stiff paper print is 8-1/8x11.25” w/color image on front w/number and title at bottom. Mailer has scattered lt. wear w/lt. aging and dust soil. VF. Paper folder is heavily worn. Just Good. Cover prints are Exc./NM. Some great action scenes, obviously designed to be framed. Limited distribution.
