Item Description
October issue is 6-7/8x10” w/128 pages published by Manvis. Cover painting by J.W. Scott has blonde headed Tarzan type about to throw spear w/lion nearby. Lower left cover corner has “A Star Magazine” logo. Contain full length novel “King Of Fang And Claw” by Bob Byrd and four short stories by others. Interior art is by L.F. Bjorklund. Covers have lt. margin edge wear. Fine. Contents VF. Only three issues for this title were published. The character would later appear in “Marvel Comics” #1 published by Timely in Oct. 1939. Stan Lee and Jack Kirby brought the character back in “The X-Men” #10 in March of 1965, going on to get his own title afterwards. Great cover design.
