Original 27x41" one-sheet movie poster for the 1938 Republic 15-chapter serial starring Buster Crabbe as Buck Rogers, Jean Rogers as Dale Arden and Charles Middleton as Emperor Ming. Based on the "Flash Gordon" comic strip, it is the second of three Flash Gordon serials made between 1936 and 1940. This is for Chapter 14, "A Beast At Bay" and features wonderful design, w/all three main characters at center. Poster has noticeable fade. Originally folded, poster has some scattered moderate touch-ups to fold lines w/a few small spots to Flash's face/neck, small spot on Dale's neck and 2x4" area on soldier's helmet at left. Technically VG/Fine, but as linen-mounted, poster still displays nicely. All posters from this serial are rare and this is among the most graphic and attractive. First we've offered in our 47 years.
