Original cardboard box w/illustrated paper label contains 2.5x8x7" tall toy w/built-in key. Made in Japan, 1930s. Box has 2" piece of side panels (at corner) missing, but box is o/w complete and free of splits. Staples at corners have some rusting. Displays Fine. Celluloid figure of Mickey Mouse riding an over-sized Pluto which is attached to tin unit w/wind-up mechanism as well as the painted wood rocker base. Mickey is depicted in cowboy attire, holds original string reins in one hand, replacement lariat in the other and comes w/separate replacement stiff paper cowboy hat (original hat was paper as well). 1" tip of Pluto's tall is a professional replacement and repair is barely noticeable. Toy works and rocks back and forth. Exc. Rare.
