Item Description
First is one of the very earliest buttons to advertise guitars and mandolins. The item has a W&H back paper used only 1898-1899. Tiny bit of surface paper removed most of the letters of the name "Whitehead." Front of the piece still displays Mint and shows the instruments surrounded by text "Wolfram Triumph Guitar & Mandolin Co., Columbus, O." Rare. Next is 7/8" with W&H paper used only 1900-1912. Beautiful scene of a flying angel hovering above open sheet music with organ pipes in the back ground. Text is "Bridgeport Organs/Bridgeport-Conn." At bottom right "Conn" has light layer of translucent material, possibly glue over top but showing very little and the rest displaying Mint. Third is 1.75" with tanned and edge torn paper by Steiner, St. Louis. Front advertises "Watson Bros" with slogan "We Make The Price." Light surface wear in reflected light. Scarce and Exc. Last is 1" with American Badge paper. Front has slogan "That Musical Pal Of Mine" with text on lower panel "The Farmer's Wife Harmonica Club." Upper left has a small letter "P" lightly cut into the celluloid but just showing a little. Still a beautiful real photo button c.1930. See pocket mirror for Conn Instruments #614.
