Item Description
Each of the folders in this group are 5.25" tall and open to 9.5". The first from 1943 is titled "Sleeve Insignia Of The United States Army By Captain Midnight." Two tiny dots of surface paper off the lower right corner of the design on the front cover. Interior shows 20 insignia plus the club insignia at the bottom which is described as "The Captain Midnight Insignia Is The Official Emblem Of The Secret Squadron." Scarce and VF. The second folder from 1944 is titled "Decorations And Service Ribbons Of The U.S. Armed Forces By Captain Midnight." This pictures 24 service ribbons while below is pictured "Captain Midnight Distinguished Service Ribbon" and with this folder comes the actual cloth covered 1-3/8" long brass bar with reverse pin. Also included is a folder that was sent with each of these items. This is titled "Please Give This To Your Mother" and it refers to the "Distinguished Service Ribbon" and promotes the use of Ovaltine. One mailing envelope is also included. This has a 1" cover tear on the front. The second folder is NM and the badge itself is Mint. Scarce items.
