Item Description
These are all Ovaltine premiums which we will describe by order of their date of issue. First is the 1941 siren ring. Extremely Fine with nice brass color all over. Second is the 1942 sliding secret compartment ring. VF. Third is the scarce 1942 Marine Corp insignia brass ring. Bright luster flashing is off but clean brass finish. Fourth is the 1948 Initial Printing ring. Removable brass cover has his logo on the top. This pulls off to reveal a plastic top with the letter "G" printed in reverse so that when used with the ink pad on the interior of the brass cover it will serve as an ink stamp. Ink has dried out and small traces of black on the plastic stamper but with Exc. brass finish on exterior surfaces. Last and rarest of all in this group is the 1957 plastic ring which once had bright silver luster although over the years this one has darkened all over. Top shows jet plane with initials "SQFC" standing for Squadron Flight Commander. While the silver finish is gone the ring is not otherwise damaged and the values for this in the Hake Pop Culture guide are $275 in Good and $600 in Fine. A rare ring.
