Each piece is a brass pin about 1.5" to 1.75" long. Three of these have an airplane propeller and engine design and each of these have very high relief portrait of him at the center. These three are from 1935. There is one for the basic member with no indicated rank, the one in silver is for the next higher rank of "Lieutenant." The third also in red is inscribed with the even higher rank "Flight Captain." These three are NM and display Mint. They are three of the nicest examples we have ever seen. The next three were issued the next year in 1936. Again each with his portrait at the center. The first was in silvered brass but most silver luster is gone. This was the basic member badge. The second with some red tone on a bronze-like metal carries the rank on the wings "Squadron Leader." The next with color accent missing if it had any, is designated "Flight Commander." These higher rank badges are quite scarce. Six pieces.
