Item Description
20x27.25" framed. For "Woodstock 94" music video for the music festival organized to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the original Woodstock festival of 1969. It was promoted as "2 More Days of Peace and Music." The festival took place Aug. 12-14, 1994 on Winston Farm in Saugerties, NY., only 10 miles from Woodstock, NY., and this location was the originally proposed location for the 1969 concert. The festival featured original Woodstock performers The Band, Santana, Joe Cocker, Country Joe McDonald, John Sebastian, surviving members of Sweetwater, and Crosby, Stills, & Nash as well as modern acts Nine Inch Nails, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blind Melon, Aerosmith, Bob Dylan, Green Day, Metallica, Rollins Band, Melissa Etheridge, Blues Traveler, Sheryl Crow and many others. The concert was co-produced by John Scher. Presentation has double-matted large crowd photo bkg. showing some of the estimated 350,000 who attended the festival along w/the stage. RIAA hologram strip plate reads "Presented To John Scher To Commemorate The Sale Of More Than 100,000 Copies Of The Polygram Diversified Ventures Music Video 'Woodstock 94'." Additionally, display has small display featuring the "Woodstock 94" festival logo, a new take on the classic Woodstock dove logo. Exc. Neat display piece.
