Item Description
Perhaps the most imaginative of all bread label issues is this 1950s set. This lot includes seven different 2.75x2.75" labels, a 6x9" punch-out sheet and a 7x15" original newspaper ad for the promotion. 36 different labels are in this set, included here are: Louie, Fiddler Pig, Peg, Bongo, Max Hare, Rhino and Leopard (the last two are generic animals but part of this Disney set). These were to be cut out and attached to "Puppet Faces" so it would appear as if their mouths moved. The sheet included has three faces that were interchangeable w/nine of the labels. Other sheets were issued for additional labels. Both this sheet and the ad promote NBC Bread. Labels have scattered wear/aging and are VG to Fine, complete and uncut. Ad is Fine and sheet is VF. Scarce series.
