Lot of 47 backstage passes, ranging in size from 2.5x3.5" to 3x4". All date to the 1970s and were issued for concerts that took place at the Capitol Theatre, a classic Passaic, NJ. venue opened in 1926 and was bought by John Scher for use as a venue for rock concerts. The venue was popular among rock artists of the 1970s up until the mid-1980s before it was demolished in 1991. All passes are for different acts, w/names stamped in ink on passes (some w/date). Some acts of note include - Jerry Garcia Band, Frank Zappa, Eagles, Chuck Berry, Queen, Cheech & Chong, Bonnie Raitt, Foghat, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker Band, Donovan, Starship, Van Morrison, Bette Midler, Billy Joel, Bee Gees and many others. Complete list online. All satin-like passes are unused, w/original paper backings still attached. Passes have varying degrees of aging and some lt. scattered handling wear but most are Exc. to NM.
