Auction #211 - Part II
Item numbers 1197 through 2870 in auction 211
Item Description
3x8.5x6-7/8" tall mostly painted wooden free-wheeling toy made in Italy, 1930s. Toy features separate, jointed figure of Mickey Mouse sitting on back of horse that looks like a mix of Mickey's early horse friend Tanglefoot and Horace Horsecollar. Between the front and back feet, there are wooden axles that have painted wooden wheels attached. Painted cord tail and wire reins. Mickey has three small holes in bottom as made for different posing on the horse's back, which has small pin that Mickey sits on. Moderate dust soiling and scattered paint wear, especially to wheel rims. Mickey's arms appear to have been reglued at shoulders. VG overall. Rare and the first example we've seen in our 48 years.
