Item Description
Vintage 7x9" glossy 1960s NBC promotional photo shows Blocker in costume as Hoss Cartwright from the popular TV Western "Bonanza" holding rifle. Black felt tip pen inscription reads "My Best Always - 'Hoss' - Dan Blocker." Attached to back is typed NBC publicity sheet w/text concerning Blocker's former career as a school teacher and refers to his size, calling him the "Biggest Star In TV." Blocker died in 1972, and as such, autographed photos of him are scarce, particularly so in character as Hoss. Corner crease at lower left but o/w Exc. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
