Item numbers 1 through 1196 in auction 211
Item Description
13.75x21.5" thin cardboard sign for "Twelfth Annual" April 20-23, 1896 dog show put on by the New England Kennel Club as noted by their seal at upper right. The shows took place at Mechanics Hall in Boston, MA. Sign features nice large image of a dog by artist J.H. Parker who closely resembles Buster Brown's dog Tige (created in 1902) sitting up, his paw pointing towards large "Dog Show" text above him. Sign has moderate corner foxing and has been attached to mat w/mounting tape and is ready for display in included 17.5x24.5" frame. Technically Fine, but as matted, sign displays Exc. w/strong color.
