Item Description
4" tall beautiful figurine by the famous German company, c. 1931. This is #493 in the series w/incised number under base along w/"Rosenthal" company mark. This is the only figure in the series numbered in the 400s rather than the 500s/600s. This early figurine depicts Mickey w/a more slender body than other Rosenthals and also has some pale gray shading to his body rather than being just black and white. He stands with hands on hips and behind him is a plant that his tail wraps around. All Rosenthal figurines are rare, particularly in the US as they were never distributed here. Rosenthals are considered to be the finest Mickey Mouse figurines ever produced. NM. From the Maurice Sendak Collection and comes with COA.
