Item Description
2.5x4.5x3.75" tall beautifully made china set marked w/"750611" registration number on underside plus second number of "11129" although country of origin (which is either England or Germany) is not indicated. 1930s and done in the style of the earliest English-made Dean's Rag Book Mickey dolls. Larger figure at center is Minnie which serves as the condiment container although missing generic spoon that fits into opening on her back. Behind her is raised curved leaf that connects to body and serves as the handle. Flowers are around her on both sides as are Mickey Mouse shakers in matching poses, but w/two different color bow ties. Both are complete w/cork stoppers (though one has been pushed into shaker) and each has matching incised number on base "11129." All figures are depicted w/five fingers. Left Mickey shaker has a pinpoint and tiny 1/16" flake to edge of ears, but o/w set is VF/Exc. Rare and only the second we've seen of this variety in our 48 years. From the Maurice Sendak Collection and comes with COA.
