First is 8x10.5" letter May 31, 1967 on "Office Of The Postmaster General" stationery. Sent by "Ira Kapenstein, Special Assistant To The Postmaster General" to "Jerry Bruno/Office Of Senator Robert F. Kennedy/Federal Building/Syracuse, New York 13202." Text explains accompanying album and reads: "It Is A Pleasure For Me To Send You The Enclosed Folder Containing A Position Set Of The Thirteen Cent John F. Kennedy Stamps. There Is Also Enclosed An Album For Henry Bersani. We Had A Very Fine First Day Ceremony In Boston Monday Dedicating This Stamp And I Am Sorry You Could Not Be There." Lightly tanned margins. Exc. Stiff cardboard folder 9.5x11.25" with embossed text in gold "13-Cent/John F. Kennedy/U.S. Postage Stamp/May 29, 1967" with postal logo at center. "Gerald J. Bruno" appears at bottom right. Plastic sheet covers four separate blocks of four JFK 13¢ stamps. Plus first day of issue envelope with Brookline, MA./May 29, 1967 postmark. Folder is VF with items under plastic Mint. Also includes first day of issue 5¢ Kennedy stamp with Boston, Mass/May 29 1964 postmark. Tanned. VG. Next is envelope from "Christening Of/The U.S.S./John F. Kennedy" with Newport News, VA/May 27 1967 postmark. Scattered tan dots. Cut open on bottom edge. VG. Color card of "U.S.S. John F. Kennedy" ship came in christening envelope. NM.
