Item Description
After being shot three times in the early hours of June 5, 1968, RFK was taken to the Los Angeles Hospital of the Good Samaritan for surgery. With family members by his side and hundreds beneath the fifth floor window on Lucas Street, a local printer, Max Migdol, rushed out 5000 bumper stickers reading: "Pray For Bobby." His daughter and other girls gave them away to all takers. This is one of two known color varieties (the other blue on white) and a rare surviving example distributed during the 26 hours RFK clung to life. Blank reverse has stains from the adhesive but is not sticky. Front has moderately darker color around the margin edges, but again is not sticky. Bottom has three near pinpoint rub dots and there are two creases 3.5" and 2" on and below the first two letters of his name. Fine overall. This particular item is from the Collection of Richard Rosen an Advance Man in California for R.F.K., who was with R.F.K. as the Senator exited the Embassy Room via the kitchen. Rick Rosen Collection. Comes with Hake's COA.
