Item Description
11x13.5x2.5" deep cardboard box has lid w/illustrated label showing Davy Crockett w/three inset images depicting various scenes from the frontiersman's life. Box contains 31" long leather belt w/western theme metal buckle and 10" fringed leather attachment w/"Davy Crockett" name and powder horns/crossed rifles images. This matches 12" deep fringed leather holster w/portrait of Crockett and his name. Holster holds 9" long double-barrel Hubley flintlock cap pistol which has some aging to metal but remains unfired. VF. Also included is 14" long vinyl pouch "Davy Crockett Original Powder Horn" that has vinyl fringe trim and matching strap. Unlike most powder horns offered in sets like this, "horn" is a vinyl pouch and not plastic. VF/Exc. Unusual design. 1950s. Belt has some scattered aging and is a bit stiff w/age. Metal rivet accents have scattered oxidation, most prevalent on holster. Belt is o/w unused. Fine. Box shows moderate wear w/lid corners remaining tight but box bottom corners has three splits. VG. Scarce boxed set.
