8x19.5" store sign w/nice art image of John Wayne as Col. David Crockett at left has text reading "Boys And Girls! Help John Wayne Defend 'The Alamo' In The Popsicle Alamo Heroes Contest" and shows bw image of picture of Wayne w/hidden images "A Clue To Start You Off!" and likely the entry blank mentioned at bottom. Bottom has area showing contest prizes that included Nichols saddle guns, Kilgore holster sets, Keyston cowboy/cowgirl set as well as Emenee guitars and Remco games. Small text block at bottom left reads "Don't Miss 'The Alamo' A Motion Picture Of World Importance" noting the 1960 film epic. Sign shows moderate wear w/1" and 1.5" tear along bottom right w/archival tape repair and 5x5" area of faint moisture staining at right and 1" stain at upper right corner. VG. Scarce.
