See item #929 for information regarding Ammonite. Offered here is an impressive 7x8.5x2" thick Ammonite fossil from the Sphenodiscus genus, which dates to the Maastrichtian Stage of the Late Cretaceous Period (72.1 to 66 million years ago) and was excavated from deposits is Madagascar. Ammonite has been polished to a high gloss, nicely spotlighting its abundance of intricate suture patterning.
