Item Description
See next two items #1991-1992. All c. late 1930s-early 1940s done in lead or color pencil on whole sheets of animation paper. Image areas range from 3.75x4.75” to 9.5x10”. Scenes include: Tom in suit w/cigarette holder going to “Top Wedding Of The Year!” in Kukai chapel, needing manicure, Bonnie in girl scout uniform, Bonnie meeting Hepburn type, and together walking, talking, doing dishes, having picnic in tree. A few light handling creases here and there, otherwise Fine/VF. Tom Oreb (1913-1987) animated at Disney from 1937 to 1961, notably in Ward Kimball’s unit. Credits include “Pinocchio, Sleeping Beauty, Toot, Whistle, Plunk and Boom, 101 Dalmatians”. He did the art for the “Once Upon A Wintertime” Golden Book (based on a segment from “Melody Time”) and went on to do early animated TV commercials, worked w/Tex Avery on “Symphony In Slang”, UPA, and the “Dick Tracy Show” in 1961. Well drawn and funny.
