c. 1937. 5x8.5x10" tall overall glass jar with tin litho lid with image of Mr. Peanut has “Planters” name in relief on back and silkscreened yellow text on front. Both sides of inside have 6" dia. paper label with photo image of girl eating peanuts from 5¢ Planters Peanuts bag. This label was used on two sizes of jars. This is the smaller size jar and word “Fresh” was trimmed off the label to fit in the jar as issued. Bottom of jar is embossed “Pat. Appld. For Streamline Jar Made In USA’. Lid has moderate oxidation. VG. Applied labels have a few lt. creases, and one has lt. staining. Fine. Jar lid is chip free and jar itself is Exc./NM.
