Item Description
Likely produced in Spain for distribution in French speaking countries during WWII. Boxes contained candy plus a surprise toy. Boxes are possibly a set of colors issued. Each is 1-1/8x2.75x3.75" tall die-cut thin cardboard have cartoon images of Hitler w/ open mouths. Backs have Hitler w/some text in English “Danger Surprise” and shows siren blaring musical notes. Contents include small wooden chair, optical toy viewer, paper flower trick, wood stylus, and cigarette holder. French text at bottom of Hitler box image translates to "Alone, Without The Crowds Hitler Becomes A Pass Ball Launches, A Sharp Movement, It Should Shut Him Up". Text on back of Hitler translates to "Hitler’s Speech Is Finished. Attention Attempts Are Fortunate In Turn. Child. Gear. Surprise". Various side panel texts translates to "Surprises, Be Clever, Correct To Make The Happiness Of Children. Parental Satisfaction". Boxes have some lt. dust soil and aging. Content pieces show some wear. Overall Fine/VF. Elaborate and well done.
