Item Description
First is a large brass stickpin with the upper segment holding real oval photos, celluloid covered, of McKinley and TR from 1900. The piece apparently once had some silver flashing but is now largely brass in tone. Second is brass and enamel stickpin with top showing arm holding saber above the word "Protection" while enamel medallion below reads "McKinley/Protection/Sound Money '96'." Exc. Next is a small figural stickpin shaped like a dustpan and holding a real photo cardboard of McKinley at the center. The concept is that he will sweep out the rascals. Very minor age tone on the photo. VF. Last is a brass piece about 1.75" tall. At the top is an embossed brass circular frame with elaborate rim design surrounding real photo cardboard jugate of McKinley and TR. Some tiny loss of coloration from the photo but minor. On the back of this piece is soldered a 1" tall brass vertical tube. Top of the tube is open and top side edge has a tiny wire extending. At the bottom of the tube is a small circular element with a pair of brass ears that are spring loaded. The item was likely part of some mechanical campaign novelty.
