Item Description
The Justice Society created the template for a comic book team. While they were together during their first appearance in issue #3 of this title, this issue actually marks their first appearance together as a team. Their book-length adventure takes up the entire book and was written by Gardner Fox. The cover is also one of the most memorably patriotic covers of the time. Inside, the book creates some very direct allusions to Nazis. The unrestored book contains art by a who’s who of Golden Age greats. Martin Nodell, E. E. Hibbard (wow also did the stirring cover), Bernard Baily and Shelly Moldoff. The pages are off-white to white. The book is CGC-certified 9.2 (NM-). According to the CG Census, this is the highest graded copy they have seen. It is also recognized as being part of the Rockford Pedigree.
