Item Description
First is the 1.25" that seems to relate to Theodore Roosevelt, although no one we've met knows exactly how. After taking office, TR called his domestic agenda the "Square Deal." This 1.25" button with W&H back paper has its border in the colors of the City of Philadelphia. On the diamond design at center is a tall thin figure of a man with one hand across his waist and his other hand under his chin. He has some resemblance to Uncle Sam, except he has no beard. Beneath his feet is the word "GIB.", meaning unknown. Button has tiny pinpoint nick on its very top edge and barely showing from the front view which remains NM. Second, from 1912, is a classic slogan button with the initials "T.R." at center and surrounding date and rim text "A Square Deal All Around 1912." Complete with W&H paper. Mint.
