Item Description
Both of these are unlisted in Hake and both are 2.5" with metal covered backs and bar pins with markings by maker W&H. About half the silver luster remains on the second of these. The first reads "Young Republicans Of N.J./Worker." Top edge about 1/16" in from the curl has a .75" hairline cello crack. Celluloid still lays quite flat and really shows only with scrutiny. Almost no other surface wear and nice gloss. Second reads "Progressive Republicans/22nd Ward." This has three tiny areas with a stain trace on the extreme rim edge. These occur at 2 o'clock, 6 o'clock, and 9 o'clock. Over 95% remains clean and glossy. Both are first we've seen and from the Julie Powell Collection.
