Item Description
7/8" with W&H back paper, unlisted in Hake. Reverse has trivial 1/16" hairline cello split by the collet but it lays perfectly flat and the button displays Mint. This is a rebus button that reads "Which! (pigs) Or (battleships)." Wallace's November 12, 1935 speech is available online under the title we quoted. He discusses the killing of young pigs in 1933 and the impact of that action (most of the food went for relief purposes) vs. the action of steel mills which cut pig-iron production throwing millions of workers into the street and necessitating relief programs to save them from starvation.
