Item Description
Charlie Wilson, who became President of General Motors in 1941, gave us the comment "What's Good For General Motors Is Good For The Country." He became Ike's Secretary in 1953 and came up with another notable quotation speaking in 1954 about the plight unemployed workers in Detroit. He said "Personally, I Like Bird Dogs Better Than Kennel-Fed Dogs. The Bird Dogs Like To Get Out And Hunt Their Food, But The Kennel Dogs Just Sit On Their Haunches And Yelp." The Democrats jumped on this comment and produced this button "I Am A Kennel Dog Voting Democratic." We don't know if the button appeared in 1954 or as a Stevenson button in 1956. Condition is NM displaying Mint. Scarce.
