Original illustrated cardboard box contains 12" long tin litho wind-up toy w/built-in key. c. 1951. This is version w/o Flash Gordon name on nose or "No. 5" text on side fins. Nose has Marx logo in black/yellow against black nose accent stripe. Toy works well and travels forward and a pinging sound is produced. No longer sparks. Original tail fin and rocket ship has a few scattered tiny paint nicks/scratches but remains bright and glossy. Left side has .5" and 1" scratches but toy still displays Exc. Original illustrated box is lightly aged and shows lt. wear w/creasing to side panels but box is complete w/all inner flaps and still displays VF.
