Item Description
Original cardboard box w/toy name contains 23.5" long tin litho tommy gun w/wooden stock, revolving tin litho bullet chamber and built-in key. Marx, 1930s. Body of gun has nice simulated detail including adjustments and bullet chamber w/bullets. Left side has illustration of two boys holding this toy gun on one side w/"G Man Gun" text while other side has additional detailing w/"Sparkling Double Action" text. Toy works, producing loud firing sound, but no longer sparks due to missing flint, which can be easily replaced. Side w/"Sparkling Double Action" text shows moderate oxidation w/bubbling to the paint while other side has scattered paint bubbling. Stock is slightly loose. VG/Fine. Box has one end flap off (but included) and is missing one inner flap. End w/flap off also shows wear w/thin streaks of cardboard off. Top panel has fading. VG. Scarce box.
